What is bespoke?

The word “bespoke” has been around for many years and was originally the sole property of the sartorial industry. When a client had selected the fabric for their suit, the cloth was said to “be spoken for”: Bespoke. In many cases outside the industry, it’s now used loosely to mean anything with a measure of input from the client but as far as tailoring goes, the word still has precise a meaning. It’s why we choose to call our process Contemporary Bespoke. We retain many of the key elements of the original bespoke process, but have found ways to deliver a high end product at a significantly reduced cost to our clients. Ask us how we do it when you Book A Consultation.
